Adyashanti: The Experience of No Self (Video Clip)

Adyashanti is great as a spiritual teacher.  I thought I would share this quick clip from my subscriptions feed.

Here are some of my favorite points from this brilliant quick talk.
  • Emptiness means no self in the center.
  • The self always keep to the center.  "I want this, I want that."
  • It is very tough for us in this society to think of us as anything but a self.  All seeking is still self seeking.
  • To see the absence of self opens the door to experience the absence of self.  This is liberation, or leads to liberation from sense of self.

A Silent and Blank Mind

Some people think mainly in words. Others in images and scenes. Most seem to combine the two. Inner silence as a spiritual ideal is incomplete.  It's the same to strive for merely a clear mind. An awake one seems to be quiet AND blank with no phrases, no scenery. To not release into both is to continue suffering. Your inner words describe your inner visions. Your mind images describe your thought sentences. Release them both and be at peace in the present.

Silence into Geometry and Gone Again (Spiritual Poem)

A Universe, one version. A Multiverse, many verses. Songs and sounds creating geometry. Geometries arising the physical. Silence and stillness carries infinite open potential. An endless sea just before geometry. Peace resides just before the noise chaos. The mind, chaotic noise. Can you accept your still silence in coexistence? In partnership? Arising from silence: creation. Closing down our noise: we return.
